A McHenry head-on crash occurred Monday (February 10, 2020) afternoon. This McHenry head-on crash injured two drivers. The collision happened along Route 31, just south of Route 120.

A 2001 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck was travelling southbound on Route 31 when it struck a 2010 Dodge Ram pickup, which had pulled over to yield to the police car, Walsh said.

The Chevrolet pickup then struck the police car, a 2013 Ford Interceptor sedan. The police car’s emergency lights and siren had been activated when the crash occurred.

The driver of the Chevrolet pickup as well as the police office both were injured and taken to Northwestern Medicine McHenry Hospital for medical treatment. Their injuries were considered to be minor injuries. The driver of the Dodge pickup was not injured during the crash.
