McHenry County

McHenry County is located in the northern part of Illinois, and borders southern Wisconsin.  It is 60 miles from Chicago, to the northwest.

According to Wikipedia, it is the sixth largest county, in terms of population, in the state of Illinois, and it has an area of 610.81 square miles.

Cities and towns within McHenry County are numerous, and include McHenry, Crystal Lake, Algonquin, Woodstock, Marengo, Huntley, Cary, Spring Grove, Lake in the Hills, Harvard, Johnsburg, Wonder Lake, and Lakewood.

McHenry County Roadways and Traffic

McHenry County contains a variety of major roadways, including Interstate 90; U.S. Highway 12; U.S. Highway 14; U.S. Highway 20; Illinois Route 23; Illinois Route 31; Illinois Route 47; Illinois Route 62; Illinois Route 120; Illinois Route 173; and Illinois Route 176.

There are also a variety of roads in which traffic can be heavy.
