McHenry County Fatal Vehicle Collision
A fatal Woodstock crash occurred Thursday (June 4, 2020) afternoon. This fatal Woodstock crash occurred at Route 14 and Route 120 and involved a Dodge Caravan minivan and truck towing a trailer.

A Dodge Caravan and a truck pulling a trailer were involved in the crash. A bystander began CPR on one of the victims before emergency crews arrived.
Woodstock Police Chief John Lieb said on Tuesday that a preliminary investigation showed the truck was traveling northwest on Route 14.
The Dodge was in the left turn lane on Route 120 at Route 14. The driver of the Dodge attempted to turn right from the left turn lane when it collided with the truck.
Seven people were in the two vehicles. Various people in the minivan were injured and hospitalized. Among those vehicle occupants was a 7-year-old boy who passed away from his accident injuries after being flown to Advocate Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge.

The driver of the Dodge, who sustained a cracked vertebra and broken ribs, was cited for driving on an expired license, operating an uninsured motor vehicle, failure to yield at a stop intersection, improper or prohibited turn at an intersection, failure to wear a seatbelt, failure to reduce speed to avoid an accident, disobeying control devices for designated lanes and failure to secure a child in an appropriate child restraint.
