Man Dies Following Fatal Algonquin Pedestrian Accident
There was a fatal Algonquin pedestrian accident on October 31, 2018 after which the man hit by a vehicle died.
According to police, this fatal Algonquin pedestrian accident happened at the intersection of W. Algonquin Road and Crystal Lake Road. At approximately 6:12 p.m., a man was attempting to cross Algonquin Road when he was hit by a westbound vehicle.
The man was critically hurt, and taken to Northwestern Medicine Huntley. He was later was transferred to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, where he later died.
According to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office, the man was identified as David Popovich, 53, of Lake in the Hills.
