McHenry County Motorcycle Accident
There was a motorcycle accident near Marengo Wednesday (August 29, 2018) afternoon. The accident involved a motorcycle that was “rear-ended” by a pickup truck.

About 12:30 p.m., the motorcycle pulled up to the intersection of Route 23 and Grange Road and stopped. As the driver waited to make a turn, a driver in a pickup truck rear-ended the motorcycle, Marengo Fire Protection District Assistant Chief John Kimmel said.
After the crash, the pickup truck rolled into Route 23, where a second truck rear-ended the pickup, Kimmel said.
The motorcyclist and passenger suffered injuries that were considered to be non-life-threatening in nature, and were taken to Centegra Hospital for treatment of their accident injuries.
