McHenry County Fatal Bicycle Accident

There was a fatal bicycle accident Sunday evening (September 20, 2015) in Woodstock.

Details on the accident, and especially its causes, appear limited at this time.

According to police, the accident happened when a work van struck the cyclist.  The accident happened at the intersection of Route 14 and Kishwaukee Valley Road.

Flight for Life was called at 7:40 p.m.

The bicyclist, currently only identified as an 18-year-old man, later died.

The driver of the van refused medical treatment.

There was a McHenry County pedestrian accident early Sunday morning (September 6, 2015) in Lake in the Hills.

According to the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District, the accident happened on Algonquin Road, just to the north of Pyott Road.

The injured pedestrian was flown from the crash scene for treatment of injuries.
