Fatal Car Crash On Illinois Route 176 Near Island Lake

Fatal McHenry County Car Crash

There was a fatal car crash Saturday night (June 20, 2015) at approximately 7:40 p.m., involving a car rollover accident on Illinois Route 176 near Island Lake.

The accident happened east of Nish Road on the Fox River bridge.

The man driving the car, Scott M. Madda, 52, of Wauconda, was pronounced dead at the accident scene, according to the McHenry County Coroner’s Office.

The accident remains under investigation.

There was a car collision in Cary on Monday (June 15, 2015).  The accident happened at the intersection of Silver Lake and Three Oaks Road.

Cary first responders went to the accident scene at approximately 1:15 p.m.

According to the Cary Fire Protection District, the collision involved a car and SUV.

The driver of the car was taken to Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington for treatment of their accident injuries.  The injuries were considered to be non-life-threatening in nature.

No one in the SUV was said to be injured.

Bike Accident In McHenry County

There was a bicycle accident Tuesday (June 9, 2015) in Veteran Acres Park.

The Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department says that they were alerted to the accident shortly before 7:00 p.m.  The accident happened on the Prairie Trail Bike Path.

The reason for the bicycle accident was not cited.

According to the Crystal Lake Fire Rescue Department, the woman was transported via a “Flight for Life” helicopter due to the nature of her injuries.  She was taken to Advocate Condell Medical Center in Libertyville for treatment of her accident injuries.
